Jam on it setup shot
I wanted to do a street dance type of shot. But with no one around I had to rely on a tripod and the self timer feature of the camera. (I'll still do my original dance shot one day).
Since I was by myself I started off by placing a water bucket where I would be to obtain focus. From there I placed the speakers towards the rear to be OOF.
Next was getting the meter for the street lights then lighting up the speakers, followed by the bucket.
Hoping for the best I pressed the shutter and moved the bucket out of the way.
In the completed shot you'll notice a red OOF light. I got lucky as a car had their brake lights on.
Strobist info:
1 580EX II (for shoes) 1/16 power 1/4 CTO shoot through umbrella camera left
1 430EX (for speakers) 1/32 power 1/4 CTO snoot/grid camera right
Completed shot can be found here.
