Mephistopheles

As Flickr friends pointed out, the prophet liked cats and they are accordingly appreciated in Muslim countries as can be seen in Chefchaouen everywhere.

 

In Christian belief, especially black cats are often connected with the devil, e.g. in former witch trials.
