Snowbound in Mendota

Milwaukee Road 94A and 101A idle away the hours in front of the Mendota, Illinois, station on January 20, 1979. A recent blizzard had trapped the locomotives here for a number of days. Mendota was on the now-abandoned Milwaukee Road branch which ran south from Davis Junction to Ladd. There probably wasn't much call for ice from those two vending machines.
