Tim and the 950
Shortly before I hired out on the CNW, my friends and I visited Oelwein,IA. Tim had worked the year before on the CNW and IIRC had the 950 on the trip it blew a traction motor. We thought for sure that would become the last time it worked in mainline service. However, the 950 would out last the CNW, making to the UP and finally being retired in 1996.
