Another Fallen Flag

Chicago Illinois Midland was one of those obscure railroads that no one really noticed.

 

I was assigned to South Pekin for a month and when it was slow I would railfan the Peoria area. One afternoon I headed down to Springfield instead. The C&IM's yard was fenced off, so I went into the office and was given permission to walk around the shop area after signing a release.
