Gravel Yard Action

A ballast train waits for a fresh crew after dumping its loads on a washout on the McHenry Sub. While this is called the Crystal Lake Industrial Lead, it was once the mainline between Elgin Jct. and Lake Geneva. The two tracks are called the Gravel Yard as they were once used to store hoppers for a now shuttered quarry nearby.
