Identify Yourself
Recently I had a rather disheartening experience with a few photographers that I look up to and consider friends. They asked how it was possible I was shooting with a camera that was 4 years old, how my phone wasn’t the newest one. I suddenly felt like I’d stepped into a weird situation where I was being looked down on by these giants, who cared more about the gear in my bag than the ideas in my head. I think it’s far more important to create with what you have, what you know, than to worry that your camera isn’t shiny enough. Show us what you can do, not what you can buy.
