Audio/Video Clip: HGTV's "House Hunters" Goes to Milwaukee
... more specifically, the Milwaukee North Shore suburb of Fox Point (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Point,_Wisconsin).
My friend Bruce lives in Shorewood - whick prompted me to take these clips - but I've never been in the lake towns north of Milwaukee proper.
General comment: The homes look at posh as those in Chicago's North Shore suburbs ... but seen to be a lot less expensive.
The home the buyers chose needed a lot of cosmetic work - paint, taking down wallpaper - and kitchen/bath renovations.
But, it was a block from Lake Michigan, on an acre of land, and they got it for $560,000.
