Mandarin Oriental Macau: Bathroom with a View
© yohanes.budiyanto, 2011
Each of the spacious bathroom has panoramic views of downtown Macau or Nam Van Lake and Macau Bay. Directly connected to the adjoining walk-in-wardrobe, the bathroom is equipped with dual sinks, spacious separate shower and WC compartments; bathtub by the external window; and Aromatherapy Associates bathroom amenities.
While small LCD TV is installed in the bathroom, it is awkwardly placed on the wall in the middle of the room. Granted the idea is to allow viewing from all direction; but the designers never learn that in the shower, you hardly can see anything with all the steams; and the most ideal location has remained by the bathtub. The Peninsula got it right. Mandarin Oriental seems to get it wrong at some of its properties, including flagship MOHK. That said, they got it right at the venerable Landmark Mandarin Oriental.
