Capella Singapore: A Room with a View

© yohanes.budiyanto, 2009

Peace and calm rule the day. Sir Norman Foster has created the magic by designing an open plan layout that diminishes the boundary between the inside and outside; the bedroom, living area and the bathroom. During the day, the chamber is so well-lit and the magnificent water view has been well-considered that it is framed by the window that it creates a dialogue between the inside and outside.

I personally like the room design immensely, and I think it is an ideal layout because it provides seamless connection thoughout the space and there is a sense of exploration. Together with the spectacular L600 Room design at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, they are two of my most favourite room designs of all time.
