Road to Venice: Singapore Airlines First Class

A couple of months earlier, a trip to Italy was created and it was mostly dedicated for Aman Canal Grande in Venice. Along the way, Shangri-La London suddenly announced its opening date; which prompted me to change my flight to London. I was initially on a A380 First Class Suite, but due to last minute change to London on the particular time and date I wanted, I could only settle for a First Class seat onboard its new Boeing 777-300ER.

 

Initially I thought it would be great to try out its newly revamped First Class seat by BMW designers; but much to my horror, there was a sudden change in schedule, and we were all onboard the older First Class cabin, much to the annoyance of the cabin crew too.

 

Feeling extremely disappointed, I managed to console myself by convincing that the flat bed is wider than the A380 suite bed; and after hours onboard, it was very comfortable.

 

The nightmare continues, as the stay at the Shangri-La London was quite underwhelming and did not live up to my expectation; and ironically Aman Canal Grande in Venice has proven to be a disappointment too. Its architecture is easily among the most impressive among all the 7 Amans I have stayed, but the service was the worst among all. Fortunately, along the way on the Road to Venice, I managed to encounter some lifetime experiences in Milan.
