SL-17
SL-17 is an emission/dark nebula in the Scorpius constellation, around 6230 light years from earth.
The SL designation might be unfamiliar. It's an abbreviaton for "Sandqvist-Lindroos" (named after the two astronomers who put together the catalog). It's essentially an astronomical catalog (much like the better known NGC and Messier catalogs), containing 42 targets (predominantly dark nebulae).
Image acquisition details:
20x1800" HA
12x1200" Luminance
12x1200" Red
12x1200" Green
12x1200" Blue
