The total length of the platform is 614,6m, having a width of 26,5m. Its range of 270 m, and 52 m of shaft, this arch constituted by two parallel hollow ribs, 8m in width connected by longitudinal and transverse bracing. I had two lanes and two side tracks for pedestrians and cyclists. In the 90s it has changed the number of road lanes.
The engineer responsible for its design and construction was Edgar Cardoso which had the collaboration of architect Inácio Fernandes Peres and engineer José Francisco de Azevedo e Silva.
