Cow Creen Reservoir
Cow Green Reservoir. The reservoir lies within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The North Pennines was designated as an Area of Natural Beauty in 1988 and became Britain's first European Geopark in 2004. At the back and to the right of the photo is Great Dun Fell, at the summit there is a radar station that is operated by National Air Traffic Services and is a key part of the Air Traffic Control system for Northern England and Southern Scotland.
