Quaking Grass Briza media

Quaking Grass, the seed heads resemble miniature flattened hops; I think they look like silk or cotton cones. Its delicate branched head of trembling or ‘quaking’ spikelet’s which are greenish yellow or straw coloured, often with a sheen and tinge of purple. It is a perennial native to northern temperate regions of Eurasia, North Africa, and certain islands in the Atlantic. Planted in a garden near me, then left to get on with it and boy has it done that, lovely to see it though dancing in the breeze.
