Bonnet Macaque | Bannerghatta

A young Bonnet Macaque - this was shot at the Bannerghatta Temple - near the National Park. A group of these "monkeys" were harassing all the folks who were visiting - stealing their food, making a mess of things around in search of food. Another young one was busy tearing the temporary roof made with palm tree leaf apart.

On the shot - I was happy with the monkey, and its' pose - I realized what I'd missed only when I reviewed the shot on the computer - DoF was too shallow to get the idol (brightly painted in the background) - Whilst it may not mean much to someone who's not familiar with an Indian Epic - The Ramayana, I'm sure most of us will spot it. :-) Now, that would have made one-of-a-kind shot.

Scientific Name : Macaca radiata

Shot @ Bannerghatta Temple.

Must - View On Black

On a different note, it's been almost a year since I started using my Canon EOS 350D, and have just now started to explore Canon's Utility CD provided - I must say, I'm quite impressed with the tools - To all Canon users who use Photoshop / GIMP / any other tool - Do try out Canon's Utilities - They're much faster and easier to use. :-)
