JMR 747
150308 05 First Class on Asiana 747-48E HL7423
As we were flying on points via Seoul we were only offered business class on the ICN-HKG legs. Asiana uses anything from an A321 to a 747 or A380 on this 'equipment varies' rotation. The A330 on the outward leg was a two class plane, business and economy, but on the return leg OZ750, 9th March 2015 we were fortunate that 747-48E HL7423 was used. We were offered first class seats enabling a direct comparison with the United product. With two less seats (10 versus 12) the Asiana plane seemed far more spacious although the IFE system was not as sophisticated as United's. The very young crew were extremely attentive as is typical for the Asian airlines.
