Autrefois propriété privée, le parc du Mugel est depuis 1987 aménagé et entretenu avec soin par la municipalité de la Ciotat, ce qui lui a valut d’être classé « Jardin remarquable ». D’une superficie d’environ 17 hectares, le parc est naturellement protégé du mistral et des embruns par l’imposant massif rocheux du bec de l'aigle. Il en résulte un microclimat propice au développement de nombreuses variétés de plantes et c’est ainsi que l’on peut y découvrir: bambouseraie, cactus, plantes aromatiques, chênes lièges, châtaigniers et plantes tropicales comme l’oiseau du paradis.
Formerly private property, Mugel Park has been carefully planned and maintained since 1987 by the municipality of La Ciotat, which has earned it the status of "Remarkable Garden". Covering an area of approximately 17 hectares, the park is naturally protected from the mistral and the spray by the imposing rocky mass of the eagle's beak. The result is a microclimate conducive to the development of many varieties of plants and this is how we can discover: bamboo groves, cacti, aromatic plants, cork oaks, chestnut trees and tropical plants like the bird of paradise.
