La Baie de La Ciotat est entrée dans le club fermé des plus Belles baies du Monde, au côté de San Francisco ou de la Baie d’Halong.
C’est une belle reconnaissance pour La Baie de La Ciotat. Cette dernière a été élue Plus Belle Baie du Monde 2019, par le bureau du Club des Plus Belles Baies du Monde. Le club réunie 42 baies dans 27 pays. On compte notamment la Baie d’Halong, la Baie de San Francisco ou encore la Baie de Rio de Janeiro. En France, elle rejoint la Baie de Quiberon, la baie du Mont saint Michel ou encore la baie des Saintes, en Guadeloupe.
Un examen de passage réussi
Après la visite, début mars, du vice-président Europe du club des plus belles
baies du monde, Monsieur David Robo, Maire de Vannes, et Monsieur Guy
Rousset de la Baie de Tadoussac à Québec, La Ciotat a réussi son examen de passage.
La Ciotat a fait acte de candidature, par la voie du nouveau directeur de
l’office de tourisme, Jean-Jacques Rodriguez. Et ce, en mettant en avant les
principaux atouts du Golfe d’Amour : son environnement fort, en étant la porte d’entrée du Parc des Calanques ; son activité économique importante avec le yachting notamment ; son histoire, celle des chantiers navals qui ont marqué la commune et ses habitants ; et, bien sûr, sa vie humaine, liée au tourisme et aux visites toujours plus nombreuses chaque année.

La Baie de La Ciotat est située dans les Bouches du Rhône, au coeur du Parc National des Calanques, entre Marseille et Toulon. La Baie propose des paysages magiques avec les célèbres falaises de Soubeyranes, parmis les plus imposantes d’Europe et le Cap Canaille ou encore le bec de l’Aigle .
La Baie de la Ciotat est aussi appelée le Golfe d’Amour. Elle abrite, entre autres, les calanques ocres de Figuerolles et du Mugel. Dans le même temps, l’île Verte est aussi l’occasion de belles balades dans les bois. Elle est accessible en navette maritime au départ du Port-Vieux de La Ciotat.

It’s a great recognition for La Baie de La Ciotat. The latter was voted the Most Beautiful Bay in the World 2019, by the office of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World. The club brings together 42 bays in 27 countries. These include Halong Bay, San Francisco Bay and Rio de Janeiro Bay. In France, it joins the Bay of Quiberon, the bay of Mont Saint Michel or even the Bay of Saintes, in Guadeloupe.
A successful passing exam
After the visit, at the beginning of March, of the vice-president Europe of the most beautiful club
