Kodak Retina IIa Gold 200
I got my Kodak Retina IIa back from technical servicing recently for the problem with the focusing helicoid and the calibration of the range finder. For a trial, I loaded a color film Kodak Gold 200 for a trial in Lyon, France, December 18, 2023. This is also the first color film with this camera.
During the session, the camera lens was equipped with a 36 mm push-on FOCA metal shade hood and a FOCA UV filter adapted to the 32mm diameter of the Schneider-Kreuznach Retina lens. I also used for the first time my new external view finder FOCANOX f=5cm (FOCA, France, years 1957-1962)
The film was exposed for 200 ISO using a Minolta Autometer III equipped with a 10° finder for selective measuring. Focusing was done either using the camera range finder, or, when the contrast was too weak, an external LASER meter to evaluate the distance that that reported on the lens distance scale.

After completion, the film was processed using the Kodak C-41 protocol by a local lab service. I digitalized then the views using a Sony A7 body fitted to a Minolta Slide Duplicator installed on a Minolta Auto Bellows III with a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5. The RAW files obtained were processed without intermediate files in LR and edited to the final jpeg pictures.
All views (plus some smartphone documentary pictures) of the film are presented in the dedicated album either in the printed framed versions and unframed full-size jpeg.
