Thorpe Camp Visitor Centre, An excellent local military museum.

We had been past the entrance on days it was closed, although noted the Lightning gate guard, but today we decided would pay the £5 entry fee and enjoy the experience.

It was certainly well worth a visit, with great volunteers to help with any questions that you may have. As we were moving on we stayed 1 and a half hours, however will certainly stay longer we I come back to visit with the wife.

We were particularly interested in de Havilland DH-82A Composite Marked G-JHAW. I was told that it was donated by someone who had a DH-82A frame in there garden near Doncaster.
The registration marked on the aircraft, G-JHAW, are the initials of the two main volunteers who worked on the frame. John Horn and Anthony Wyatt. John Horn explained its development to me, however, Anthony Wyatt had sadly passed away.
