Information below, Credit Bernard Martin:
Originally kit-built in Portland, Oregon by George Martan in 1973 as N1GM. Original design modified to include Perspex bubble canopy, squared wingtips and tail. Participated in many EAA Fly-Ins until placed in storage in 1981 after CofA expiry 21.03.80. After owner/builder's death it moved for further storage at the Van's factory, with long-term friend Dick VanGrunsven. Re-Regd 02.05.00 as N52GM & Cld 01.06.11. Application for Reservation to revert to N1GM, but reservation expired and transferred to Sabre 60 03.08.00. Believed never flown as N52GM. Ed Hicks and Steve Slater arranged for the acquisition and shipment to UK together with other Van's imports. Exhibited at LAA Sywell 70th Anniversary Rally 09.16. Stored for potential restoration to flight with Matthew Boddington at Sywell. Noted dismantled and stored at Shenington 03.07.19.
