DSCN2544 look-out

The Highest Dune Hill (89 m a.s.l.). This is a view over the highest elevation in Sierakow Commune and the fire-control observation point ‘Springs / Zdroje’ from the red biking trail area (Lichwin-Blota stretch near the Napoleonic Track in French Mountains - Notecka Forest Massive Dunes). The name ‘French’ derives from Napoleonic Wars and is connected with the heavy artillery movement in the year 1807. The locals had to reinforce a dune path with balks to facilitate the French cannons transporting.
