Large White Male (Pieris brassicae, also called cabbage butterfly, cabbage white, or in India the large cabbage white; bielinek kapustnik) on a White Mustard Flowerhead (Sinapis alba, gorczyca biala, gorczyca jasna - condiment known as mustard). It is a close relative butterfly of the small white, Pieris rapae (one dot for the male). Mustard flowers, young leaves, and sprouted seeds are also edible and seeds are used in herbal medicine.
