Storytelling gravestones #20

Although I do not consider myself any kind of authority on cemeteries or gravestones/headstones and the traditions incorporated into their design, I have noticed that in the region surrounding Montrose, Colorado it is somewhat customary to record an abbreviated version of the deceased's biography on the stone itself.

This stone is a large slab of slate and depicts the deceased's hunting dogs and a guitar with an eagle flying overhead. The inscription reads "Memories are treasures that time cannot destroy."
