Coming into view

View of the West Elk Mountains taken from the eastern flank of the Uncompahgre Plateau northwest of Montrose, Colorado. The West Elks are not visible from the this portion of the Uncompahgre Valley due to the height of the swell into which the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is cut. The valley is visible in the left center portion of the photo.
