One o'clock in the afternoon on New Year's day and it was -9F on Blue Mesa Reservoir in Curecanti National Recreation Area west of Gunnison, Colorado. It was sunny and the limited heat was raising a huge cloud of steam over the water. This post is part of a series taken as I drive along US 50 highway.
