The temperature inversion hangs on

A cloud layer created by a temperature inversion over the Uncompahgre Valley as seen from the highway to Black Canyon National Park. The darker blue areas on the horizon are the crest of the Uncompahgre Plateau and a portion of the San Juan Mountains.
