Wind on the Water

Along the southern Oregon coast, a strong wind whips up the incoming waves at sunset.

 

Using a telephoto lens, I was able to highlight these distant rocks with the only sliver of warmth in the sky. The heavy wind made getting sharp images quite the challenge. This one isn't perfect, but the waves looked the best of any single frame with the rooster tail effect.
