CoyWolves (Eastern Coyotes) of Thunder Bay
A trio of "Coywolves" have been spending a lot of time at the North End of the Harbour and as well there are siteings through out the City.Now, this phenomenon occurred over the course of a hundred years. And the new type of coyotes really left the scientific community confused. Are they coyotes or wolves or a new species? The debate is still going on. But most agree that these animals are coyotes with quite a few wolf characteristics.
So, the eastern coyote became known by a lot of names like a coydog, tweed wolf, brush wolf, and nowadays coywolf. If they are a new species or not that’s a debate for the scientists.
