Greenwich Wind Farm - DORION

 

These are the tie-ins to the main grid from the Greenwich Wind Farm's 43 Wind Turbines .This Main Line is over 100 years old and brings the Hydro Generated Power from the 3 Nipigon River Dams . Pine Portage , Cameron Falls & Alexander Landing.

 

 

The project was developed by Renewable Energy Systems Canada and is currently owned by Enbridge Income Fund Holdings with a stake of 51%.

 

 

 

The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2011.

 

 

 

The project generates 275,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 34,699 households, offsetting 107,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $275m.
