The last voyage of the "Viking Octantis" for the 2023 Season to the Port of Thunder Bay.

The " Viking Octantis " came in early last evening during the Thunder Storm from Silver Islet and " anchored " Just off Richardson's Main elevator towards the Main Gap . She doesn't drop her hooks but uses her Thrusters & Global Positioning to remain static as if she was hooked to the bottom. The Sail Superior tour boat "Frodo " was out enjoying the weather with that large grounded Lightning rod sticking out of her top side. She was out past the " Federal Champlain " making her way in when I caught up with her. The 50 knot winds didn't materialize in the top half of Thunder Bay but the Cruise Ship wasn't taking any chances out off Thunder Cape and I beleive made an early dash for safe Harbour. I'm guessing she had to wait until the Stevedors and red carpet people got organized.

This was taken at a late sunset . You can see the colour on the bow of the ship and other white surfaces. But it also was at the Blue Hour so that you can barely see the break between Water , Sibley Peninsula and the Sky. It leaves the Ship suspended above the Delta Hotel
