Murals on the exterior walls of the former Canyon Country Service , Dorion , Ontario. It has since been raised to allow for a new divided highway right of way

Painted by local muralist Michael O'Connor in the spring of 2000, this huge mural of an adult bull moose is on the east wall of the Canyon Country Service store located on Canadian highway 11/17 about halfway between Thunder Bay and the Soo locks in Ontario. Two other equally impressive murals on this building are pictured below. The south wall has several snapshot-like scenes including a picture of the world record brook trout (it weighed an impressive 14 ½ pounds) that was caught near here, and some other wildlife found in the area. The west wall features a pack of timber wolves.

These three murals have the reputation of being the largest depictions of wildlife in Canada -- and perhaps the world.
