The Other Side
The one waterfall in all of West Virginia that I've anticipated shooting the most is Brush Creek Falls in the southern end of the state, not far from Pipestem Resort. I had been there once before this past spring, but didn't do much photography due to the large volume of water gushing over the falls. These falls need to be visited in Autumn, when the leaves have turned gold and the water flows this way and that, over the many rocks and ledges. But if you truly want to fully appreciate their elegance and grace, you need to cross over to the other side, where the falls take on a beautiful personality all of their own. If you do the Facebook thing, check out my Facebook photography page and give it a "Like".
