Pacific Northwest 2023 Trip

From September 9th through the 16th Bill Kalkman and I photographed trains in three states and two Canadian provinces. After arriving in Spokane, WA we headed up the Funnel and the UP Spokane Subdivision into British Columbia. We crossed Crowsnest Pass and headed for Lethbridge, AB to photograph CP EMDs work locals on the Taber Subdivision. We drove via Shelby, MT to Helena and followed the MRL as far west as Thompson Falls for one last look at the Gas Locals. Then it was back to Washington for more shortline and mainline action on the Columbia Basin Railway and the BNSF Lakeside Subdivision over Providence Hill. We went from Plan A to B to C and so on as we discovered changes to operating plans and road construction. Still we came away with some great photographs and memories. You can scroll through the trip in Chronological order.
