Pine Point Rapids
So I was sick of winter until yesterday when I went out to Pine Point Rapids in WhiteShell Provincial Park. I've been on this trail many times in the past, but this is a first in the winter.
The hike in was about 45 minutes, but actually pretty easy as the snow on the path is pretty packed down. Just don't step off as you sink down into 1 to 2 feet of snow.
I was thinking it must be pretty spectacular in the morning light, but would mean leaving about 5AM for the 1 1/2 drive and 45 minute hike in. Any takers? Let me know as I may try next weekend if the skies look favourable.
