Foggy Morning at Swanage Pier

Arrived at Swanage Pier early in the morning, hoping to capture the remnants of the old pier in the fog, this image I have been waiting for for 6 years, having only the weekends to venture out, with this image and a few from a few weeks back certainly was worth the wait.

I set up my tripod and camera on the shoreline, at 82mm captured the scene seen here.. I chose a long exposure of just 53 seconds after initially capturing a few test shots to get the ideal timing to create a smooth sea and help capture the floating fog, with the use of an ND 10 stop Firecrest filter and polariser.

The fog here not lasting very long and soon dissipated after this was taken and had better luck beginning of December and not processed yet. I did opt to leave part of the new pier and the seagull which waited while capturing this scene.
