398 steps

The Cap-Blanc Stairs are Québec City's longest staircase. They were originally built of wood in 1868 for workers to walk to work in the Cove Fields munitions factories on the Plains of Abraham. Rebuilt many times due to rock slides, the stairway is popular with tourists and joggers. I climbed them with my daughter and must admit that I lost count at some point on the walk.
