Kate and I have been playing a series of games of Scrabble. Mostly for fun, but also for world domination.
We're almost evenly matched. She's an English major and plays crosswords and Wordle. Me? All I can say is that English is my first language. But I think more strategically, looking for the pink and red squares. I took an early lead in this game by using a word that I picked up by watching a lot of British TV on Acorn and Britbox. And "fob" is the official profanity of YCPTPH. How many other groups on Flickr have their own official swear word???
Eventually, she won because she managed a word with "Q" on a red square. But just barely. A rematch tomorrow!
