Lenses, but not for your cameras
While visiting the eye doctor, and waiting for her to appear. I noticed she had this set of lenses off to the side. I was checking it out when I realized, "Hey, I'm a photographer! This might make a picture!!!" Behold!
Sometimes I have to remind myself that I have a camera in my pocket.
In searching for information online, I found an ad for a similar set on Temu. Temu? I'm not sure I'd have confidence in a doc who bought her stuff from Temu, but that's another discussion.
Even though it looks like something from 50 years ago, I'm guessing it's not the antique I thought, You can buy similar stuff for less than $200 on Ebay. So presumably not valuable enough to worry about someone like me pawing over it.
She had all the coolest test equipment, so I'm hoping she didn't use this. Maybe a gag gift. Or for house calls? Do eye docs make house calls? We're seeing her next week, so I may have a chance to ask.
Any optical docs in the audience who can fill us in? I don't know about anyone else, but I've worked up a healthy curiosity. Trolls with nutty theories welcome too.
