It's funny how Cardinal Dolan's relationship with "All Is Grace" has developed:
1) Robert Ellsberg, publisher of Orbis Books, sent him a copy soon after publication and the archbishop was, like many others, captivated by all the photos.
2) He next interviewed me about Dorothy and the book for his weekly radio program, apologizing at the start that he had not yet actually read the book.
3) He made the book his Christmas gift, giving away 155 copies, including one (the NY Times reported) to Mayor Bloomberg.
4) In Rome this past October for the Synod on Evangelization, he reported on his blog that he was reading "All Is Grace."
5) And now he read it and taken time to send an appreciative note.
