Abandoned gas station and highway in Vida, Montana, population 24 in McCone County.
The road in the photo was part of the historic Regina-Yellowstone Highway, completed in 1924 as a scenic route for Canadians to travel to Yellowstone Park. In the 1950s, the town of Vida (originally named Presserville) moved here to take advantage of being located on the highway.
Vida still has a one room schoolhouse teaching grade schoolers in McCone County.
