Abandoned Farm Palisades (Explored)
Abandoned farm and palisades in Moses Coulee, about 20 miles east of Wenatchee, Washington.
First saw this scene three years ago on a blazing hot August afternoon, and I’ve spent quite a lot of effort since then trying to get a decent photo of it.
Several editing attempts couldn’t save the original photo because of the strong distortion from the heat radiation rising from the ground. I’ve returned to the spot to reshoot it three times, at different times of day and conditions.
With the field of purple flowers (alfalfa?) this Spring day, I decided these might be the best conditions I’d get for now and I’d try visiting again when I’m in the Wenatchee area and conditions are different.
