Cedar Hill overlooks the Missouri River with fantastic views of the river valley. It's one of the prettiest, most interesting cemeteries I've seen in the last couple of years. Worth multiple visits.
The cemetery has sentimental value to me, since my grandmother was born and lived in the Pierre area. She used to say she never wanted to be buried on 'that lonely, windy prairie' and wanted to be buried in town instead. Personally, I can't think of a much better resting place than a place like Cedar Hill.
