Valley of Fire Sunset 5826 C

Sunset near the eastern entrance of the Valley of Fire near Las Vegas.

This was the most difficult edit I've done in a while. Took three tries and about 6 hours to finish this bracketed shot, merged by hand.

IMO, desert sunsets can be more dramatic than sunsets here in the PNW. Not sure why. Maybe the dust in the air? One particular thing I don't see much up here in the North, is how the sunlight sometimes shines up into the horizon about 15-20 minutes after sunset. You can see that a bit in this photo with the column of light, but sometimes the effect is much more prominent.
