Redwing Blackbird Fence Post Canola Field 4837 C

Redwing blackbird sitting on a fence post by a ripe field of yellow blossoms (canola, rapeseed, forage radish, I'm not sure. They are so similar).

Near Albany, Oregon in the Willamette Valley in Linn County.

There were two males guarding their territories from old fence posts along this quarter mile stretch of dirt road. I crept back and forth until this handsome guy let me snap four shots (on high speed continuous) through the open passenger window, then he was off - spooked and didn't come back.

I used to have camouflage burlap in my car to make a quick blind, but lost it. Need to get another.
