Crown Point 3440 H
Crown Point is a 733 foot high basalt cliff created by a lava flow between 14 to 17 million years ago. The Vista House was built there in 1918 as an observatory of the Columbia River Gorge and as a memorial to Oregon pioneers. It’s about 15 miles East of Portland along the historic Columbia Gorge Highway.
