Richard's Barber Shop in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

This ‪#‎barber‬ shop not only had an amazing old ‪#‎sign‬ and ‪#‎handpainted‬ gold leaf lettering in the window but also had stenciled ‪#‎barbershop‬ tools including scissors, razors and brushes along the top of the roll gate. We also loved all the old ‪#‎signage‬ in the windows showing the variety of ‪#‎hair‬ cuts and styles they specialized in. 35 mm film photo is from 2004 and appears in our book "Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York". Sadly this Nostrand Avenue ‪#‎storefront‬ went out of business in 2006 and was replaced by an instant refund tax center with very bland signage. ‪#‎signgeeks‬ ‪#‎disappearingfaceofnewyork‬ ‪#‎jj_texttypographical‬ ‪#‎jj_doorsandwindows‬ ‪#‎type‬ ‪#‎typography‬ ‪#‎typevstime‬ ‪#‎font‬ ‪#‎tv_retrotype‬ ‪#‎tv_typography‬ ‪#‎ipulledoverforthis‬ ‪#‎signofgrime‬
