Black-crested titmouse

Baelophus atricristatus. In my back yard, Austin. From 1983 until very recently was considered a subspecies of the tufted titmouse (Baelophus bicolor, aka Parus bicolor.) This is one of those situations where the common name has remained useful and descriptive during a time when the scientific binomial has been in disarray.
