Wild Florida

This set is inspired by and dedicated to Clyde Butcher, whose amazing Black & White photos of Florida's native beauty have allowed me to look at my adopted home state with an understanding I never would have had without his work.
Some are photos that I took, in color, of places that Clyde Butcher photgraphed in black and white. The contrast between the narrow-angle color photos my pocket digital camera can capture, and the astounding detail captured by Mr. Butcher's black-and-white film in wide angle box camera format, is clear. But I like to think the consummate professional taught this amateur a thing or two about seeing and framing photos.
